Senior/Family

The program matches young adult volunteers with seniors for weekly one-hour visits in order to create connections that span different age groups. Project Life is mutually beneficial, as it provides older adults with someone to keep them company while also giving younger adults a new perspective on aging and a generous purpose that allows them to give back to earlier generations.

The Power of One Hour:  By devoting just one hour a week to visiting and spending time with the seniors involved in the program, volunteers can vastly increase the quality of life of older adults who might not have as much company as they would like to.

Sharing time with a senior is a great way to not only get to know them better but make them anticipate the next visit every week. Spending time with older adults energizes not only them but young adult volunteers as well.
